Forklift training in Essex
On-site forklift training in Thurrock, Grays, Tilbury, Purfleet, Basildon, Brentwood, Harlow, Chelmsford, Epping, Loughton, Waltham Abbey, Southend and Rochford. On-site, on your own trucks, with no travel charge.
Essex holds the ports. Tilbury and London Gateway handle millions of containers a year, and the distribution parks around them at Purfleet, West Thurrock, Lakeside and Stanford-le-Hope host national retailers, 3PLs and vehicle importers running reach, VNA, double deep and heavy counterbalance trucks around the clock. Basildon and Harlow were built as industrial new towns and still work like them, with engineering, automotive, pharmaceutical, electronics and print businesses; Chelmsford and Brentwood add distribution and manufacturing along the A12; the Lea Valley glasshouses around Waltham Abbey run forklifts in the packhouses; and Southend brings aviation and seasonal trade. Our instructors are used to port security, inductions and 24-hour operations.
Local customers typically work in ports and container logistics, retail and 3PL distribution, engineering and automotive, pharmaceuticals and electronics, horticulture, aviation. Whatever the sector, the format is the same: an accredited Forklift Agency instructor comes to your premises anywhere in South and West Essex, trains your operators on your own trucks, tests them, and we post HSE-recognised certificates. Courses run around your shift pattern, early mornings, nights or weekends, at the same price.

Common questions
Where does the training happen?
At your premises, on your trucks, in the environment your operators actually work in. We do not run a training centre in London or anywhere else. The instructor brings everything else: the safety videos on a laptop or tablet, theory material, cones, test papers and the certificates.
Is there a travel charge for London or the Home Counties?
No. Training anywhere inside the M25 and across the surrounding counties, from Reading to Southend and from Stevenage to Crawley, is quoted at the same rate, with no charge for travel or accommodation. Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire are covered by our Derby, Nottingham and Leicester sites, and the rest of the UK by Forklift Agency.
Do you charge more for nights or weekends?
No. Our instructors fit into your shift pattern, including early mornings, nights and weekends, at no extra cost, subject to availability. In London that often means starting before the roads fill up or training after the last delivery.
Does the instructor need parking?
One space for a car or small van, close enough to unload cones and equipment. If parking is impossible at your site, tell us when you book and we will plan around it.
